Luke Pontius is the Vice President – Accounting for The BOLI Group, focusing on the strategic design and implementation of BOLI/COLI placements. This includes the development of financial reports, preparing board materials, research and review of legal documents such as Product Placement Memorandums (PPM) and Stable Value Agreements (SVA).
Luke’s background stems from consulting. Prior to joining The BOLI Group in 2019, Mr. Pontius performed audits for academic institutions like the Ohio University Foundation and has led teams internationally to conduct market feasibility studies for several American based ecommerce corporations. Luke has a working knowledge with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through his work regarding management assessment of internal controls.
Luke obtained a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Ohio State University, where he also earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with Business Pre-Law minor. Luke passed his Series 6 and 63 qualifying exams with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and is an insurance licensed representative.
Luke and his wife, Maureen, reside in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a strong advocate for orphans in Zambia through Family Legacy, participates in yearly mission trips and is active during their sponsorship events. His hobbies include golfing, traveling, hiking and Buckeye football.
