Edward M. Kilpatrick joined The BOLI Group in April 2014 having come from the Northwestern Mutual home office. Ed began his career in 2001 in the financial services industry with Northwestern Mutual, quickly transitioning to the NM home office where he began working across markets. After a successful stint working in the Estate planning market, Ed transitioned to the non-qualified plan market, working on advanced Bank and Corporate markets cases. In addition to non-qualified plan expertise, Ed possesses significant experience with life insurance product design, including single and annual pay MEC and non-MEC designs.
Ed possesses pre-sale, implementation and service experience in the bank and insurance company markets. Ed led Northwestern Mutual’s sales process for single pay COLI (including iCOLI) sales. He also has significant experience with annual pay COLI and the Bank market. Ed was the subject matter expert for the corporate and bank owned life insurance product lines at Northwestern Mutual.
Mr. Kilpatrick acted as a trainer to the Northwestern Mutual field force for 12 years and has spoken at various company events with the overall goal of increasing knowledge of appropriate product design.
Mr. Kilpatrick holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI). He has passed his Series 6 and 63 qualifying exams with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and is an insurance licensed representative.
Ed is on the board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Wisconsin and is on the planning committee for the Great Strides walk (the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national fundraising event). Ed resides in Glendale, Wisconsin with his wife and three children.
